Art Smocks

This original pattern is drafted to be size- and gender-inclusive. These prototypes feature patchwork designs from discarded scraps.

The series was made from rust-dyed linen, created by Toronto-based artist Claire Tallerico.

Ruffled Shirts

A collection of de- and re-constructed men’s dress shirts that have been cropped, ruffled, and finished with details that expand their look beyond business casual.

Red Carpet 3-Piece Power Suit

Made from a repurposed men’s wool suit, pink curtains, a satin dress shirt, necklace, and yards of black tulle. Designed and created in 24 hours and presented at 3S Artspace Project Upcycle: a flagship fundraiser for the NH nonprofit art space.

Silk Upcycled Saree Shirt

Short-sleeved button-down shirt made from a 100% silk upcycled saree.

“Sam transformed my mother’s saree into a beautifully crafted shirt with real care and intention — thoughtfully considering how each part of the fabric would best translate into the final piece. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were quite evident.”

Quilted Jackets

A series of quilted jackets made in collaboration with Vermont-based quilter Rae Heller. Made using second-hand 100% cotton.

“Sam is transparent about their decisions when designing or altering a piece, which helps me learn about fabric, the creative constraints of each project, and the craft of sewing. I recommend their work to anyone and everyone.”
